Latino Action Network Emerging Leaders Summit

The Latino Action Network in partnership with Rutgers Center for Latino Arts and Culture, LISTA (Latino/a/xLatina/o/x Initiatives for Service, Training, and Assessment) School of Social Work and the Latino Action Network Foundation invite you to the inaugural Emerging Leaders Summit on September 26th, 2026 at Rutgers University. This summit is geared to convene emerging young leaders, college students, young people in the trades, high school leaders, elected officials, legislators, policy experts, researchers, community leaders to examine the issues facing our communities and to advance collaborative community driven advocacy. The theme this year:  “FROM TOMORROW TO TODAY: OWNING YOUR POWER AS A LEADER” curates a menu of topics on civic engagement, understanding the path from protest to policy, media literacy, mental wellbeing, financial literacy, afro-latino/a/x experience.

The summit is designed to not only host lectures and listening sessions but also share practical tools. Participants will have the opportunity to share their thoughts and ideas in discussions with leading professionals, helping to guide courageous conversations that aim to foster community and wellness. As we celebrate our shared experiences, recognize the strength of the resilience of our people, Latino Action Network aims to provide a lane for emerging leaders to prosper, through the grassroots power of participation. Our collective collaboration is imperative and our Latino community plays a vital role in the kind of New Jersey and society we want to live in.

Registration is FREE, but we remain grateful for any donations.
